Who Loves Me? Part 2

Understanding the Unwavering Love of Jesus

Last week, we began our series "Who Loves Me?" by exploring the depth of Jesus' love for us. It's essential to understand this love to strengthen our relationship with Him. Jesus' love is unfailing, unending, and unmatched. He laid down His life for us, demonstrating the extent of His love.

In part two of our series, we want to reintroduce or even start at the beginning of getting to know the One who loves us. Jesus, during His time on Earth, revealed the Father we couldn't see, the God of creation, the righteousness of God, the glory of God, and, most importantly, the embodiment of Love. Jesus was God with man.

As we dive deeper into the scripture, let's look at Colossians 1:15-23. In these verses, we learn about Christ's role in creation and how His death reconciles us to God. We are brought into His presence, made holy and blameless, standing before Him without a single fault.

Romans 8:33-34 tells us about God's chosen people and Christ's sacrifice and intercession on our behalf. It's essential to continue believing in this truth and standing firmly in it.

Understanding God's nature is crucial to knowing the One who loves us. Some truths to consider about God include:

  1. God is not human (Numbers 23:19).

  2. God does not have human likeness or form (Deuteronomy 4:15-19).

  3. God is one, consisting of three persons in one essence: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:26, Isaiah 6:8, John 17:5, Matthew 3:16-17).

Jesus stepped into darkness to find and rescue us, offering hope and forgiveness that can only be given by a supreme being we can now call our Father (Philippians 2:6-8). God desires for us to experience His love, which is why we should strive to understand how wide, long, high, and deep His love is (Ephesians 3:18-19).

As we continue this series, let us be reminded of the unwavering love Jesus has for us. May we grow deeper in our understanding of His love and experience the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
